Gestern Abend war ich bei einer Lesung und Vortrag von Dennis Gastmann über sein neustes Buch: “Atlas der unentdeckten Länder” Eins der Länder ist z. B. Transnistien, in dem das Foto auf der Leinwand im Hintergrund entstanden ist.
Seine Reportagen „Mit 80.000 Fragen um die Welt“ kenne ich seit ca 7 Jahren und ich amüsiere mich immer wieder, wenn ich sie mir auf YouTube an sehe. Genüsslich kann man auch seine lebendigen Formulierungen und Berichte in seinen Büchern lesen, aber ein Live Vortrag ist die Krönung. Er erzählt und liest so lebendig, dass man fast meint, man säße mit ihm im Zug oder man sei mit ihm an Bord des Schiffes auf der Reise nach Pitcairn Island.

I know his reports "With 80,000 questions around the world" for about 7 years and am still amused when I watch them on YouTube. You can also read his lively formulations and reports in his books, but a live Lecture is the best entertainment. He tells and reads so vividly that you almost think that you are with him on the train or aboard the ship for the trip to Pitcairn Island.
