VILLAGE WEAVER // PLOCEUS CUCULLATUS (16cm)

OBSERVED for the first time a Village Weaver cutting and peeling long strips of a palm leaf to build its hanging nest, they coarsely weave the strips into a slightly onion-shaped nest with an entrance at the bottom. Fascinating experience.
