HADADA IBIS // BOSTRYCHIA HAGEDASH (76cm)

SEXES similar, a bulky dark ibis, normally associated with water, found in marshes, rice paddies and riverine forest. Feeds on mollusks, aquatic worms and divingbeetles by either probing or picking up food from the surface. Perches high, often in pairs, extremely noisy at dawn and dusk, particularly if disturbed. Not the most attartive Ibis, but was posing so well.
