BROAD-BILLED ROLLER // EURYSTOMUS GLAUCURUS (26cm)
BEAUTIFUL stocky, Square-tailed Roller, sits out in the open, looking for insect prey, often following open grazing cattle, but tends to sit on telephone wiring and posts, so had to capture this opportunity, far more natural.
On an interesting note, it feeds aerially like a giant swallow. A joy to see this individual several times during our stay.
