GREY WAGTAIL // MOTACILLA CINEREA (18cm)
ELEGANT BIRD with a strikingly long tail that it continually pumps up the down. The Grey Wagtail is invariably associated with flowing fresh water and often perches on mid-stream boulders, but alas not in my capture. This bird finally allowed me to get quite close, what a beauty!
