LITTLE EGRET // EGRETTA GARZETTA (55-65cm)
COURTSHIP DISPLAY, from this local elegant and unmistakable pure white bird, to three other Little Egrets, seen from the Reed Hide at Stodmarsh. Not so long ago, this bird was classed as a rarity in Britain, then it became a common sight, but have noticed in Kent far fewer of them around, over the last few years. and more Cattle Egrets.

It was good to see some of the family in the garden yesterday, we burnt some food on the BQ for them, keeping at the two metre rule, was a very special time !!!!
