EXTREMELY VOCAL, a squeaky conversational kittle-teker delivered whilst perched or in flight and a rapid chicker-kerker uttered in a frequent threat or foraging disputes. This is a female as it has incomplete chest band, while the male has a complete unbroken band. Have spent many hour just looking at these Kingfishers, this one just back from a unsuccessful dive !
