WIDESPREAD woodpecker, we was lucky enough , to see a few, but to nail them is another thing, they always move to the blind side of the branch, often very high up, but was pleased with this one. This is a male as the female lacks any red at all.
Seen in the Kotu area, We rarely use guides !
