YELLOW-BILLED STORK // MYCTERIA IBIS (100cm)
GAMBIA FEB 2019
=================
THE MOST AMAZING SIGHT, feeds in loose assemblages, with African Spoonbill, and Pink -Backed Pelican , forages by wading slowly in the shallows cooperatively, scything with slightly opened-billed to catch passing prey, the fish have little chance! A bird that is fairly new to the Kotu area, due to all the improvements to water quality, and hence increased fish stocks it is the second year we have seen them here. Still have the same large smile on my face now as when I first saw them.
=======================
THANK YOU for looking in, hope you enjoy the image, as much as I did taking it, please leave a comment, will return the visit very soon. Enjoy the weekend. Remember you cannot purchase happiness, but you can purchase a camera and that is pretty close!
STAY SAFE, GOD BLESS ....Tomx
