ROBUST AND PUGNACIOUS little wader, the Turnstone has a short, stout and triangular bill that is used to turn stones and tideiine debris in search of seashore invertebrates. Its a joy working with these birds, if you remain still, they often approach you, if dogs and their walkers do not chase them off. See at Hampton, near Herne Bay Kent, U.K
