COAL TIT // PARUS ATER (11cm)

WELL - MARKED bird, rather warbler-like proportions, and indeed often feeds in a similarly energetic and acrobatic manner to this unrelated group of birds. ALTHOUGH it is most numerous in conifer forests, it is also over the last few years, been a frequent visitor to garden bird feeders. Captured at Bossenham Woods, near Dunkirk, Kent, UK.
