GREENFINCH (Juv.) // CARDUELIS CHLORIS (14cm)

DISTINCTIVE FINCH, and am lucky to have them visit our garden, the juvenile recalls an adult female, but both the back and pale underparts are obviously streaked. Resident all year round, and at the feeders, dominates and attempts to exclude smaller species.
