KNOT // CALIDRIS CANUTUS (23-25cm)

A DUMPY AND ROBUST WADER, both legs and bill are relatively short and stout. Can be found in the Kent coasts between Sept to April, and it breeds in the high Arctic.

At last things are starting to look up, as there has been not much birdlife about for quite a while. Have seen Groups of redshanks, a few sanderlings and dunlin, and my first pair of brent geese at Sea Salter, today. Also the largest flock of Goldfinches and Linnet's I have ever seen, but all looking very scruffy

Captured Nr Herne Bay Pier from my Car. Best viewed Large.
