CHEEE-CHEEE CHEE CHEROO , a loud burst of swooping whistles, useful for location, but still a job to find, usually remains in bush cover low to the ground. Once seen its a unmistakable vividly-coloured bush shrike. Do not feel I have visited the Gambia until I see one, what a joy.
