The most numerous medium-sized gull in the region. The- black-headed Gulls plumage varies according to its age and time of the year, but it can be recognised at all times by the white leading edge to the outer wings. It is typically seen in single-species flocks and breeds colonially. The sexes are similar. Seen at Hampton, near Herne Bay, Kent UK.
