Repair Tyne

The Herd Groyne lighthouse in South Shields undergoing restoration work. Herd Groyne is the oldest of the three lighthouses at the mouth of the River Tyne dating back to 1882 and stands between the river and South Shields' Littlehaven beach.

Across the river is Tynemouth with Collingwood's monument, Tynemouth Priory & Castle and Tynemouth Pier the main features.
