This loaded coal bucket has just departed Hobson Yard and is headed south towards Kansas City. Just ahead of the train is the junction with the Nebraska City branch, and the Nebraska State Penitentiary, for those keeping score at home.
About a quarter mile of the main track by the state pen was torn out when a new track alignment was cut in just to the west of here on the Rulo Sub(?), a few years after this photo was taken. The tracks here remain to serve the Arbor Sub(?) branch to Nebraska City. 9-4-1993
