Tokyo Toilet

Japan has to be the cleanest country in the world. The Japanese word for clean, kirei (きれい, 綺麗), can also be used for "pretty". It gives you a sense of how cleanliness is important to their culture.

I rarely used the toilet at home... because frankly it seemed like my host parent did not clean the house so I often used public bathrooms that were FREAKISHLY clean... for ANY standards. One toilet had a soap mechanism that allowed you to wash the seat before you sat on it!
