Mask(s) at the 2024 Venice Carnevale - San Lorenzo, 10 Feb 2024
The weather gods took pity on us for a few hours. There was a big mask meetup scheduled for 1500 on this date but it had been raining hard pretty much all day. Around 1430 the rain slowed to an annoying drizzle. I went to San Lorenzo to find a number of masks were actually there so I started shooting. A few minutes later someone in the group said the organizer had just cancelled the event and rescheduled until the following day. Bummer. Fortunately not many people got the message so there was actually an excellent turnout (including the organizer!). The rain held off until about 1730 so we had an excellent time there - and we got to shoot it again the following day. I liked that!
