Egyptair 737 landing at LHR
I was so looking forward to this day. Monday, so the runway alteration at LHR meant 27L landings in the first part of the day. Forecast looked good. I woke up early ready to head out to the Myrtle Avenue Field and looked out the window. Very, very foggy. I could hear planes landing but could not see them. What a bummer. Eventually the fog thinned out - gradually. Landing planes looked very mysterious. After a few hours visibility was good enough to head out. It ended up being a lovely day with multiple weather changes. Ah, the joys of plane watching at Heathrow!
