Visiting the Dr. Seuss Museum in Springfield, MA
One of the must-see places on our trip back East was the Dr. Seuss Museum in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Seuss was/is one of my role models. Oh, the Places You'll Go is still my favorite book - I think it was written with me in mind. The museum and sculpture garden are fairly small but we loved it. The museum contains a lot of Suess related painting but there is also a lot of personal letters and mementos of Theodor Seuss Geisel. Definitely worth a stop!
