Born 2 Be Mild ~
Betty Bobbing in the Wind
Bob and Betty, the 2 Common House Finches that made our home their home this last year have decided to stay the winter this year. What a treat it is to have the birds outside our nook window. There can be up to 12 each of the Dark-eyed-Juncos, Chickadees and House Finches at one time flitting and snacking on the seeds. There has also been a House Sparrow and a Song Sparrow stopping by along with the Downy Woodpecker. There are times that the Mock Orange shrub quivers as the birds pop in and out of the shelter of the bare branches to grab a mouthful, or should I say beakful to chow down on.
