A Quartet of Stainer Instruments!
Here we have two violins, a viola, and a cello made by the Austrian luthier Jacob Stainer. His instruments were the Stradivarius violins of their day but fell out of favor as the power requirements for violins increased in the 19th century (oh Paganini).
