Battle at the Old Training Grounds

Legendary Pink Fireball vs Master of the Crystal Kick. Rising Sun of the East vs The Savage Mistral.

 

These fighters and the scene were inspired by Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Virtura Fighter, Double Dragon, Bruce Lee (C64), Yie Ar Kung-Fu (C64) and some other less memorable games I used to play as a kid.

 

This is pretty close to finished. I was going to put another two in the front of the scene but it just looked cluttered, so maybe I'll figure out a way for another pic sometime.

I was really just trying to create some movement in a scene using some different type of limb attachment techniques. The brief for me was the figures needed to not fall to bits when they were not connected to the supports.

I changed the Rising Sun a bit as the dragon punch was just too big. Plus this one holds nicely in place too. The Savage Mistral has a move but that will be in a later post too ;) He got a bit smacked down in this scene :) (A minifig hand hold his leg in place nicely).
