The owner of Superior Shoe Repair graciously allowed me to take a few photos in his shop. Greg (in the red t-shirt) told me he's been working here for the last 29 years. The store, I believe, was there when my dad worked in Center City, back in the 1970s. These are the jobs without trumpets or bright lights or confetti. The jobs most of us never even notice as we hustle to meetings and appointments. Hard jobs. And frequently thankless ones. Let's take a moment to remember that and to show them the respect they've earned.
