El Nino

Cloudy sunset from Maalaea, Maui, Hawaii. El Nino has brought a lot of rain to our island this year. There were periods when the sun would be completely obscured by clouds for days at a time.

 

Strong onshore winds forced me to take this shot further back. The awesome view, the smell of the salty ocean spray and the sound of the waves crashing on the rocky shore was worth the hike in and out.
