Rusty (left) demonstrating submission after a dispute with his one year older brother Toff (both the same parents but different years' litters) over first feeding rights outside my house. First-summer dog foxes begin to feel their strength and sometimes test it tentatively against more mature foxes - but they rarely prevail. Though very vocal the brothers refrained from physical combat.
