A young Grey Seal checking out our boat from its haul-out on one of the few sandy beaches of the generally rocky Coquet Island just off the coast of Northumberland. Greys are the larger of the two British breeding seal species and are found in good numbers around their haul-out colonies even outside the late autumn breeding season.
