Spitfires and Hurricanes flypast in formation at the Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2023. During the Battle of Britain Duxford hosted an increasing fighter force of 12 Group which became the Duxford Wing led by Squadron Leader Douglas Bader, the legless fighter pilot. On occasion the Duxford Wing managed considerable interventions in the Battle and now the mass launch and big formation flypast of Spitfires and Hurricanes from this historic fighter station is an amazing thing to see and hear.
