Old pre-digital photograph (still Canon DSLR though!) rephotographed. For years the committees tried to insist Ross's Geese turning up in winter with flocks of Pink-footed Geese or Barnacle Geese were local escapes but with the North American population burgeoning and the aforementioned goose flocks known carriers of species such as Snow Goose and wild Canada Geese this position was unsustainable. This Ross's Goose near South Creake in Norfolk with Pink-feet on 10 November 2001 was one of the first to be found acceptable as the species was allotted its rightful place in Category A of the British List.
