One of the highly prized by British birders American Wood Warblers, Magnolia Warbler is a delightful blaze of bright yellow underparts bearing tramlines of black streaks, with a grey head relieved by a white eye-ring and green mantle underscored by two bold white wing-bars. When the tail is spread it shows rectangular white patches contrasting with the blackish main colour apart from all-dark central tail. This, the third individual to reach our shores, was found at St Govan's Head on the coast of Pembrokeshire sending birders hot-foot West - including me!
