The size of the twitcher contingent brought by the Scillonian III - some 130 birders -necessitated two boats being laid on by the St Mary's Boatmen's Association to convey everybody to the Bishop Rock lighthouse to see the Red-footed Booby roosting atop the net surrounding its summit helipad. The others arrived on Kingfisher a little after us and were quickly on the bird and in action with a Canon high-angle battery.
