20230604 (1)_River_Esk

Built in 1923 as a 2-8-2 and both modified and rebuilt several times since, River Esk survives kin passenger service on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway in Cumbria. This narrow-gauge railway once transported stone from Eskdale quarries but now hauls mainly tourist traffic between Ravenglass and the top station, Dalegarth.
