20230422 (9)_Cruiser_Mk_IV

A 1930s design of fast tank "Cruiser" with modern Christie suspension, faceted armour on the turret and excellent performance, the Mk IV was rushed into service and consequently performed poorly in France in 1940: poor training and even incomplete manufacturing being the root causes. With a proper introduction programme it became a reliable and capable performer in the Western Desert until later, upgunned models of Pz III and IV rendered it obsolete.
