20190219 (19)_Hoopoe_Lark

Probably the best lark in the Western Palaearctic.... Greater Hoopoe-lark is a denizen of arid environments. So named for its flashing contrasting wing patches and decurved bill (is it really a lark that mimics a Hoopoe or is it just us?) it is quite a large lark but although easy to spot it is not always so easy to photograph: we had seen quite a few in Western Sahara before this one gave us a reasonable crack at it.
