The classic cartoon bat, hanging from its hind feet and wrapped round by its leathery wings, a Greater Horseshoe Bat photographed hibernating in a tunnel during a survey. This was the first GHB I'd seen hung up and was also one of only a few records for the county so I and the group were all excited.
