20160526 (2)_Greylag_Goose
Feral Greylags taking off from Pudmore Pond, Thursley Common NNR, Surrey. Greylags are so named because they are the grey goose that lags behind (stays to breed) when the other species - Pinkfeet, Bean Geese, Whitefronts - leave for their Northern breeding grounds. Although these are continental birds its nice to have them around.
