I discovered this bird lying beside my car one morning. I think he flew into my car window and stunned himself. He wasn't flying away from me so I grabbed my macro lens and shot a few morning sunrise-lit portraits of him. What I didn't realize was that this was his sunset of his life. He died 2 minutes after I took this photo. I feel really crummy that his last experience was me shoving a macro lens 1 centimeter from his beak. So I make my bid for immortalizing him here on Flickr; thank you for letting me take your photo.
