A picture my good friend and fellow line geek, the late Mike Parker, had posted to another online gallery some years back.
Mike opined that whoever dreamed up THIS thing should have been given the boot!
The tower line in the background is a double-circuit 57kV line that was erected in 1911 and is still in service.
