Broken Wing

I came upon a couple of Killdeer as I was finishing my walk. I must have been near their nest (I seem to have acquired this skill but have yet to see a nest) Both of the birds were leading me down the pathso I was happy to follow. One of them suddenly took this pose and strarted hopping which I figured was to keep me interested in following them. According to research when I reached home, this is known as a broken wing distraction used to keep me away from the nest. They guided me to the bridge I needed to get to and took off. Hopefully I did not cause them too much concern as I passed through.
