Car Badge: Mercury Parked in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

This badge was the last one used by the lower half of Ford's Lincoln-Mercury Division. Mercury was positioned above Ford and was viewed as a competitor to Buick and Chrysler. It fell victim to the shake out of the 2000s that saw nameplates such as Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Plymouth and Saturn disappear.
