The dining room
Given the size of the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt, the dining room of its most famous restaurant was comparably small. It could cover more than 30 people with not-so-spacious distance between tables. Luckily, it was a slow day for lunch so I did not feel crammed (only 4 people ate accompanied by 2 service staffs and 2 runners). The dining room design and ambiance were casual with wooden floor and tables without any cloths. Some black and white photos of the lake Tegernsee, plants hanging on the ceiling as well as some pots with flowers provided accents to the dining room. During the day time when the curtain was opened, we could see the hotel garden covered with snow - but most tables did not have that view.
