it's a hard fall's gonna reign
Over the years I've spent countless hours in the mountains in remote places and almost always alone. When you do that you soon realize that snakes and other critters or rednecks and goobers are the least of your concerns. The real worry is falling...falling in a bad way where help is required. I had not fallen in years. I'm not afraid to climb up and over things but I'm extra careful in doing so. I mention it because in taking this picture I had a bad fall. In an instant I was airborne and the next crashing hard against a rock and whacking my head. Oddly enough my first thought was to surrender to the fall. But as I was wondering if I was going to pass out I quickly realized it's raining and my camera is in my hand. I took the shot and got back to my car to sulk over my stupidity.
