CCRM Funding Announcement
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau takes a tour of the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine's (CCRM) development facility at the Banting Institute. Also on the tour were Chrystia Freeland, Minister of International Trade, Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, President Meric Gertler of the University of Toronto, Michael May, CCRM's President & CEO, Peter Zandstra, U of T professor and CCRM's Chief Scientific Officer and Elyse Allan, President and CEO of GE Canada.
On January 13, 2016, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the federal government will contribute $20 million to CCRM to establish a new Centre for Advanced Therapeutic Cell Technologies.
