Firehouse Blues
On the second floor of the former firehouse (now the "3 North Lexington Taphouse & Eatery") can be found this amazing area that once was used as a performance space for opera. Renovations are planned, but not yet begun.
Some History of the Old Town Hall & Masonic Temple: The village of Lexington & the local Masonic lodge combined their effortz and financed to build this 3-story Italianate structure in 1876. The village owned the first two floors (the fire department and the opera house), the Masons, the 3rd floor.
Many thanks to the current owners for a peek at this work in progress.
