Built in 1959 by Ardrossan Dockyard Co Ltd (yard no. 427) as DORSET COAST for Coast Lines Ltd of Liverpool. Sold in 1969 to Burns & Laird Lines Ltd of Glasgow. Sold in 1972 to Belfast S.S. Co Ltd of Belfast. Sold in 1973 to General Steam Navigation Co of London, becoming P&O Ferries Ltd in 1977. Sold in 1979 to Delta Marine Trading Co of Egypt and renamed EL HUSSEIN. Sold in 1981 to Omar Ibrahim and renamed EL KHEER. Sold later the same year to Naviera Denton Venture S de RL (Nialed Shipping Co Ltd, managers) and renamed DENTON VENTURE under Honduras flag.
Sold in 1984 to Isabella Maritime Co of Greece and renamed OURANIA. Arrived at Bruge 24 June 1985 to be broken up.
