Eaton Canyon Wilderness Hive
Well during my absence Sept. and October something or one, destroyed the hive:

leaving old black comb strewn in back of hive in newly torn out back entrance.
Was this possibly a bear? Station fire has driven many wildlife lower to untouched foothills, canyon, and valley to sustain themselves.
Queen & workers hopefully absconded and swarmed to establish a new hive. If any one has seen any new feral hives please notify so I can observe & document. Only rescue apis mellifera colonies that are off public ranges.
