Classic Chevrolet Nova
This is the fourth-generation Chevrolet Nova, the last rear-drive Nova (it would be replaced in the 1980 model year by the front-drive Chevrolet Citation before retuning in the mid-eighties as a front-drive Toyota-based subcompact), and a popular car among people who wanted something small and American. The base engine was Pontiac's Iron Duke four, but a variety of six- and eight-cylinder engines were also available.
I couldn't believe my luck when I found this car. It's at least 35 years old - I think it's a '76 Nova.
Its 111-inch wheelbase, considered "compact" when Gerald Ford was President, is now considered "full-size," the 120-plus-inch-wheelbase behemoths long since rendered obsolete by two oil shortages and by changing attitudes and tastes.
The fourth-generation Nova was produced from 1975 to 1979.
