Chevrolet Bolt EV

The Chevrolet Bolt is an innovative subcompact from GM's Apple Pie Division. It's an electric car that runs on a permanent magnet motor and generator, producing 200 horsepower, with a range of 238 miles on a single charge. While no one is going to give up their Chevy SUVs for a Bolt just yet, its size and its alternative-energy layout is clearly the wave of the future, making it the most innovative small Chevrolet since the Corvair. (The Volt is larger than either the Bolt or the Corvair.)
