Fest For Beatles Fans, 2015: JPGR-FAB
Another year, another Beatles convention. The Fest For Beatles Fans, organized by Mark Lapidos and his family, was slated to return to a hotel in the New Jersey Meadowlands for 2015, in March, after having been held in New York City for 2014 to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the fabulous foursome's arrival in America. The hotel in the Meadowlands, though, had to back out in January 2015 when its parking deck collapsed - yes, collapsed - because it could not support the weight of six inches of snow.
The convention was moved to Rye Brook, New York, in Westchester County at the Westchester Hilton. It was a trip and a half for me to get there, but I made it.
And I brought back lots of souvenirs, in the form of pictures, like this New York State vanity license plate celebrating the fabness of John, Paul, George and Ringo, on a car in the hotel parking lot. :-)
